What are the opening hours?

The opening hours are 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).

When can children start at Waikiki Play School and is there any age cut-off?

Children can start once they turn 2.5 years of age on first day of attending Waikiki Play School, up to 5 years of age.  No age cut-off date.

Can parents claim Child Care Benefit?

Yes, Waikiki Play School is registered licenced child care provider rather than ‘school’.  Parents/carer will be able to claim the partial cost of attendance as you would like normal centre do.

Is Waikiki Play School fully accredited?

Yes, Waikiki Play School participates in the Quality Improvement System administered by the National Childcare Accreditation Council.

What is Early Years Learning Framework?

 EYLF is new government initiative to boost education level of young children.  EYLF has been developed so schools and other early learning settings have one doucument that sets out what children need to learn and how they are to be taught.  Waikiki Play School has been working on it and carefully mapped it to our existing curriculum.

Is Waikiki Play School a SunSmart Centre?

Yes, Waikiki Play School is a member of The Cancer Council WA.
